We are pleased to announce a thrilling collaboration between Limestone City Cycling, CFB Kingston, Ontario Cycling, Performance Driven Events, Queen’s University Cycling Team, and Tourism Kingston, bringing a spectacular bicycle race to our city on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
This event marks the inaugural bicycle race of the 2024 Ontario Cup race series and signifies the long-awaited return of bike racing to Kingston after many years. With its central location nestled between cycling hubs like Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Niagara, Kingston is the ideal setting for this thrilling cycling event.
The heart of the action will unfold on a 1 km closed course at CFB Kingston, where 45 to 90-minute races will captivate spectators with the exhilaration of cyclists passing by every few minutes at speeds exceeding 50 km/h. Racers, vying for cash and merchandise prizes generously provided by our community sponsors, will compete in various categories throughout the day. The pinnacle of the event will be the Elite Men’s and Women’s races, attracting some of the finest racers from eastern Canada.
But that's not all – we're committed to involving our community and fostering the growth of cycling locally. In addition to the main races, a youth race will take place, offering children the chance to participate in age-appropriate competitions. This exciting addition aims to crown the best up-and-coming cyclists in our city.
